Charles Strong Trust Prize
The Charles Strong (Australian Church) Memorial Trust was established in 1957 for “the promotion in Australia of the sympathetic study of world religions”. It is named for the controversial Reverend Charles Strong, a famous social reformer and agitator who founded the Australian Church in 1885 as a free religious fellowship. The Trust has supported Australian scholarship in the study of religion, and the AASR, since its inception. You can read more about Rev. Strong through the Australian Dictionary of Biography.
